Welcome to Mount Pleasant Primary School

On behalf of all our wonderful children, dedicated parents, outstanding staff and committed governors, it gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Mount Pleasant Primary School. Our website provides a wealth of information about our school which will give you a flavour of our school.

Mount Pleasant Primary is an extraordinary school which believes in educating the ‘whole’ child, seeing children as individuals and helping them to flourish and achieve every step of the way.

At Mount Pleasant Primary School we aim to provide our children with a first class education and we will not accept anything less.  This is achieved through a happy, stimulating learning environment where excellent staff and resources ensure the children achieve their potential through our school motto of ‘Think Big – Aim High’.  We believe this is achieved further through all our children demonstrating our learning to learn qualities of ‘Being Brilliant’. We value and respect our close trusting relationship between home and school, working together at all times to promote the vision, aims and ethos of the school and community.

As always we put the children at the centre of our learning and provide a rich, relevant and exciting curriculum to stimulate their interests.  Learning is further enhanced and enriched through a range of visits and visitors who come to our school.

It is as a result of all the above that we can share the fantastic news of our BEST EVER end of Key Stage 2 SATs results, with children making outstanding progress achieving higher than National as well as Kirklees expectations for Reading Writing and Maths.  (Full details of the results available by clicking here)

We welcome visitors to our school and hope you can take some time to come and visit us.
